Default HNGD!

I posted a couple of weeks ago that I had a Yairi JYM80 Jumbo inbound. It had been on my watchlist for several years. Sweetwater discounted it $1200 so I jumped on it. Anyway, I ended up returning it. It was so close to being great. Typical excellent Yairi build, and felt great to play. But, maybe due to maple back and sides (?), the trebles were just meh. They had plenty of volume, but sounded like an LP with the treble tone knob rolled all the way off.

So, to console myself, I stopped by Tobias Music in Downer's Grove IL and took a Martin HD-35 off of Paul's hands! Great guitar. While I was there, Paul forced me to play a D-45....I was so scared to even touch it, I managed to only get a couple of chords out of it before I handed it back to him. But it was awesome.

Congrats! I saw that D-45 on their website a couple days ago, I would also be scared to touch it!

Huh?

I meant to say "Great guitar, indeed," of course.
