Default Northwood OOO, OM or Auditorium

Hi,

I'm looking for a Northwood OM, OOO or Auditorium with rosewood back & sides. Please PM me if you have one available.

Have not played either, but love the vibe of my Northwood MJ and would like to add a smaller bodied sibling.

Would appreciate comments from anyone who's played any of these guitars. For example, how similar or different would either of these guitars be from my MJ ? I'm primarily a strummer.

THANKS!

I posed this question to the man himself when asking about an mj vs my deep body 000. His reponse...
,.....

Hi Mike, glad to hear it! As expected, you should get more emphasis to the bottom-end side of things with the MJ. The depp body you just got comes close but the MJ should project more of that.

Best regards,

John McQuarrie

Northwood

Love me some Northwoods. Good luck with your search. I enjoyed my 000 and love my 00 even more. I'm always surprised at how good the 00 sounds strummed even as a small-bodied guitar.

You've been a Northwood fan for a while now, and I see you also own a Morgan. How would you compare Northwood and Morgan ?

Thanks!

I have the temerity to list my Morgan JS12 amp - my one and only. Never played a Morgan guitar, but played a few Larrivees and it was a profound experience for me with the Northwoods. Nothing in major factory guitar lines do it for me - I've been ruined by the good stuff.

LOL … I just saw Morgan thought about guitars. I agree with you about “the good stuff”.

Woodstock School of Music in Woodstock Illinois carries Northwoods and has an incredible LOO in stock. John the owner is a great guy and is open to negotiations on his guitars. I purchased a Furch from him as well as Eastmans he carries. Good luck

No help other than hoping you find what you are looking for.
Sometimes the next guitar can be elusive.

You could also check out Paramount Guitars in Watertown, Wisconsin. They have a Northwood 000 14-fret (deep body) and a 000 12-fret on their website.
