Default Ouray - solo fingerstyle

This is a simple little tune I wanted to try, in dedication to my new granddaughter.

I know I've got issues with tempo - it's something I'm working on. I suspect if I just had the patience to wait a while longer to practice more before recording, things would be much smoother

So much wonderful music and so little time; Sigh............

Thanks for listening, and have a great Fourth of July.
May God bless America (we need it now more than ever),

You look much too young to be a grandfather! Congrats!

Your playing is pretty clean -- and your recordings are always top notch.

I agree with Joe, very nice tone and recording quality.

What guitar are you playing?

Beautiful with a lovely spirit in your playing Bill, I can hear every note in your clean playing and pristine Collings.

btw I also enjoyed your post to Steve's thread on modern percussive playing. I thought is very thoughtful and well said. I posted there as well I think on page 2. I think Steve created a very interesting, refreshing thread.

Thank you Joe. I have a ways to go both with my playing and with recording. I welcome any help

I thoroughly enjoyed that, Bill. That's great. Boy, the sound just jumps out of that German top, doesn't it?

Collings does extremely well with German.

Ouray [your-ray] a great Ute indian chief & diplamat in the late 1800s.

Great playing, love the Collings.

Very nice sound.... resulting from a great guitar together with great playing technique.

Personally, I have not cared for most of the Collings guitars I have played, but this one of yours certainly records marvelously (and surely must sound great in person too).

I'm also enjoying that you are playing all this nice fingerstyle music (this recording and others) on a dreadnaught. I too really enjoy a good dreadnaught as a fingerstyle instrument.

Nice job Bill on a beautiful song. There's just something about songs dedicated to Grandchildren. I've been inspired to write two such songs for my Grand-daughters. I'm sure your new granddaughter will love this song for years to come! Thanks for sharing, Ed.
