Default AER Compact 60 unwanted noise - Please help!

Hi everyone,

I have just started playing acoustic guitar seriously and therefore new to the forum.

I have just purchased a 2nd hand Compact 60 mk1 and although it sounds good there is a lot of unwanted noise. I am playing a Larrivee LO9-E and I orginally thought it might be something to do with the pick up inside. However, the noise is present even when the guitar is not plugged in. Its a hiss and a buzzing sound. As I understand it these amps are supposed to be super quiet?

I have tried it in various venues and also tried changing the power lead but nothing seems to be working. Can anyone shed light on what might be going on and also how to fix it!

Thanks very much,

Bryan
