Factory guitar nylon string makers?
Recently brought home a new Hohner HC06 student-grade classical and am impressed with the quality of the factory strings, they really help to make this all-laminate box sound pretty good.
Would be interested in knowing who the most likely string manufacturers are for low-end mass produced nylon guitars such as this one. Not expecting any definite answers, but in-the-ballpark educated guesstimates are fine . TIA, spayzkadet Last edited by spayzkadet; 02-02-2011 at 08:10 PM. |

Maybe D'Addario?
They make something like 600,000 various strings per day...

Probably D'Addario. They supply most of the good-quality factories.
Cordoba uses Savarez. |

+1 in favor of d'addario, their cheap and, generally decent strings are everywhere.

D'Addario are the most popular.
If you want to play with strings I would check out Savarez or La Bella as well - maybe they will sound better to your ears. |

Thanks to everyone who wanted to share what their favorite nylon strings are. However, that doesn't answer the original question in the first post.
For everyone else, D'Addario is unanimous so far. spayzkadet |
