As soon as we get a little further along I'll try to figure how to navigate posting the build progress. If anyone is interested. 🤔

Well Ross, I just "so happened" to make a little visit to the Kinnaird Guitar Factory and low and behold I was able to observe several guitars in motion. There is a top right beside where John is standing that has YOUR name on it. I also saw some AWESOME Brazilian with some gorgeous Paua Abalone inlaid into it.

Looks like progress to me

Mike,
After that visit you surely have more to tell us about than someone else's build???

Travis, you crack me up.

The truth of the matter is that I am not at liberty to tell "all" that happened in NC, but I WILL say a good time was had by all...There could be (not admitting or denying) some forthcoming announcements, but of course...as the old saying goes...what happens in NC, stays in NC ha!

I will say that we saw some GREAT stuff at John's shop. We saw and played a GREAT guitar he is just finishing for Paul...spectacular. I got the opportunity to see, hold, and cuddle with my black and white wood...WOW!!. We got to dig through John's wood stash...wowser...there are some AWESOME future guitars in that pile. Rob and I were like kids in the candy store.

There could be more to tell, but I'll leave the rest for conjecture. A little mystery and suspense is good for all of us.

Smile We want the full skinny

Aw, come on Mike! Give us more info!!!

Glad you enjoyed my new one. John is keeping her from a few more weeks for fine tuning, and some more play time, too! Haha

I am jealous of u guys getting to hang with John.

Hope the entire trip was big fun!

Cheers

Paul

Wow, I'm jealous Mike but glad you got to see the magical workshop. I hope you liked what you saw with my build choices and give me some feedback please. I'd love to take a trip down there myself one day. Hanging with John must've been a trip.

Paul, I'm certain that only ONE thing could have been more fun and that would have been to have YOU there!! Maybe some day all of the calendars will line up. That would be lots of fun.

Be excited brother. Your wait is almost over. Hopefully John has been able to get all of the slobber off of your guitar from Rob and I ha!

Update:

John sent me this inlay to "fill the gap". Personally I like it. I like trees. My last build had a tree, and although I didn't choose this inlay, I like it. John said..."it's a tree". I added to that, "and the tree is on the side of a mountain in NC with the Sun coming up over the horizon".

Anything anyone would add?

Agreed, it has that Sepia style photography look to it.

OK, so I'll be dumb and ask, is the tree just a natural inclusion John found in scraps or did he make that? It looks good if he made it and it is cool if it was just a natural thing because it looks like it was made. Plus, you get to tell everyone you have a "tree" guitar now and they will assume "The Tree"!!!
