Arrow FS: Kinnaird Old Growth Brazilian/Euro...Dream guitar...PRICE DROP!!

Kinnaird West Coast Old Growth Brazilian...Dream guitar!!

Indeed this is a dream guitar. It not only is beyond stunning to look at and hold, it's a dream to play. Old growth Brazilian Rosewood that is not only straight grained, but the coloration is super pretty. It's got Paua abalone all around, as gorgeous appointments throughout. Tonally, it will make ya drool. I'd call the tone rich and vibrant. Anyone who gets this one will get a guitar for the ages.

The condition is absolutely excellent. It has been gently played and has not had any work or issues. I can find one pin size mark on the back, but other wise it is in virtually flawless condition. No fret wear.

The woods:

Euro Spruce: European or Silver spruce, the spruce of choice for makers of classical guitars, shares a number of characteristics with popular Engelmann spruce, including color, lightness of weight, harmonic complexity, and fullness at the lower end of the dynamic range. European spruce differs from Engelmann in its potentially quicker response and greater headroom.

Brazilian Rosewood: Considered the "holy grail" of guitar tonewood,
Brazilian rosewood produces a loud, warm, rich tone, with full deep bases,
brilliant trebles, delivering excellent sustain and clarity. Its appearance
varies from brick red and burnt orange to shades of dark brown to violet
color with black spidery streaks.

The particulars:

Nut width: 1 3/4
Standard scale length: 25 1/2
String spacing at bridge: 2 3/16
Upper bout width: 11 3/8
Waist: 9 1/8
Lower bout width: 15 3/8*
Body Depth at neck joint: 3 1/2
Body depth at Tail: 4 1/2
Fossilized Walrus bridge pins
Players sound port
Gotoh 1/21 tuners
Gold EVO frets
Cedar Creek case

*John Kinnaird's website says the lower bout width is 15 5/8, but this one is 15 3/8

The guitar is as close to showroom perfect as it can get. No issues whatsoever.

Price: WAS $11750 NOW only $10,975 plus shipping and PayPal. Open to reasonable offers and certain trades when it includes a large cash contribution...ie: the cash portion must be larger than the trade portion.

Smile Lots of sizzleÖ.

Yes, this has sizzle galore, but it has even more steak.

Big hat AND plenty of cattle

Knowing Johnís work, and Mikes commission experience, I expect this will really deliver the sonic goods!!!

One thing i always love about Johnís guitar is they sound SPECTACULAR from a whisper to a ROAR.

I expect this will move fast.

Mike, I expect you will eventually regret this saleÖ.

Cheers

Paul

First, Thanks to those of you who have reached out. I thought the guitar was sold this past weekend but it is a big decision for some to spend a bit more on a lifetime dream guitar. I am open to reasonable offers. Talk to me!

Thanks Dustin! I know a fair amount about what you like and I'd have thought this one would be right up your alley. Certainly at your level of play you have pretty specific requirements, but this one certainly meets the needs of many. Thanks for the nice comments

Wow, What a beautiful instrument. From the rosette to the old growth Brazilian.
Just beautiful. I’m not sure about the hat and cattle part. It looks to me like a real deal gunslingers guitar.
Knowing John’s pricing and work very well, I can’t believe it hasn’t already sold at this price. You could commission one from John directly, but you wouldn’t get that Brazilian on it.
If I didn’t currently have a JK with Brazilian presently hate going down o the grave with me, I’d be shooting you an offer.
Beautiful guitar Mike, I wish I could. Someone is going to get one heck of a guitar, that will sound even better than it looks.

Price Drop!! I'm totally surprised that this guitar hasn't already sold, and I'm equally convinced that this guitar should sell for a LOT more based on everything I know about it. That said, I am dropping the price to encourage more interest as I had to write a sizable check for taxes and I want to get some cash back into my account. I've contemplated putting this one on consignment at which point it will be priced a lot higher. I'm still open to offers if this isn't cheap enough to suit you lol. whoever gets this is getting one WHALE of a guitar

one of my babies on the trading block. I love that guitar. If I had the money I'd buy it myself.

No doubt!

Cheers, and I suggest hit the buy button while you can. If this goes to consignment it will most certainly get considerably more expensive !
