Default DSTG

Does anyone know anything about the Martin DSTG guitar...Not DRSG. Understand it has identical specs as a D18, but with different cosmetic features. Has very limited reviewer response online. Question is if it has the same build specs as a D18, wouldn't you think it would play and sound the same?

The only 2 difference I see that might affect the tone is Sapele vs Mahogany B&S and the top not having a gloss finish. Other than that, I agree that the specs are basically the same as the D18 minus a few cosmetics.

I haven't A/B'd them, but I'd guess it would a really close match.

From what I have seen, they are basically a Sapele D-18.

Here's one on Reverb;

https://reverb.com/item/5578809-mart...ice_87oqVfPgeU

If that link doesn't work, just do a search and it will come up. It's not a satin finish D-18, it's probably closer to a Nazareth Made D-10

It has a simple dovetail joint which means if probably has A frame bracing. It's probably a very nice guitar but it's not a bargain D-18.

If you want a bargain D-18, just get satin D-18.
