I have seen posts that give the Cordoba 5 a lot of praise. I do not own one but if I were looking for a classical, from what I have read from the members I would have to check one out.

Thanks!.
Thanks GHS, I picked up a new Cordoba C5ce today after playing about 9 other makes and models. This one just blew my doors off and it was the cheapest new one there at Guitar Center. The Fishman pickup records stunningly through my Mackie board. Happy Old Camper here. Again..Thanks!.

I own a C10. I've played the C5 and C7, but was not impressed with them. They didn't project well, and I thought the tuners were cheap.
The C10 is much higher quality.

Cordobo 5ce
I have the C5ce and like it a lot for the price. Being able to plug-in is a nice option on a classical. It is a good instrument to start on and develop your chops....
Enjoy.... Bryan

The c9/c10 are much better guitars for not that much more money, it is definitely worth it. The frets and fretwork are better, (they use higher frets, and more importantly alot of the c5/c7's I have played had leveled frets which had not been re-crowned, which can make for alot of buzz or having to press the string down very hard to not get buzz), and the projection, bass, resonance, tone, overtones, everything is just alot better. I like their cedars better then their spruce tops, but both the spruce and cedar c9s/c10s I have played were very nice for the price. I like the c3m/c5/c7 too, I think they are great for the money also. But the above is very true, and I don't think you need to be rude to someone who is just giving you the advice/answering the question you asked?

He asked for advice before he purchased the guitar... After he purchased it, the potentially rude comment was posted... I can see why he may have responded that way.....

Well it is true that the c9 and c10 are much better guitars, and this has been the general opinion of anyone who has played these guitars in my experience. I don't think kats was being rude by stating that, it didn't come off rude to me at all. Perhaps he had only read the first post and responded without reading that the OP had purchased a guitar. What was rude was to respond the way Anglo did, in my opinion. But I guess I will back out before I get into something I don't want to...

I own a C9 SP, and had a chance to play with the C5ce. I'll agree that the C9/C10 are constructed better and sound nicer, but the C5CE ain't bad, and sounds pretty good amplified. Depends on what you're trying to do. If I was looking primarily for a great acoustic tone, c9 or C10 (or C12). Amplified, the C5CE gets the job done.

Well I can pretty well guarantee I'm not going to post any negatives about anyone else's guitar on this forum...even if they're true. Expressing an honest opinion isn't worth the grief.

The good thing about an inexpensive guitar is that the first ding doesn't hurt as much...
