Default Stupid question about preamp for K&K

So I have a K&K mini (passive pickup) installed in my Larrivee OM-03MT. Have not really been playing amplified lately, just micing the thing.

Wondering what recommendations people have for a preamp for the K&K. I know K&K has their own line of preamps, but I guess I would prefer to get something sourced locally as opposed to having something ordered in. Is there a particular, more broadly available, preamp people have had good results with?

I am not looking for a bunch of effects. A built-in tuner would be nice. Just want some clean boost and some EQ that is voiced properly for these pickups.

Thanks for your support!

I have a PW mini in my Guild GAD 30r and had one in an Larrivee OM 03MT. I have an older K&K preamp (non XLR) which works just fine. However, on a less than $30 whim I tried a Behringer ADI 21 (link below) and now I rarely use the K&K preamp. You may be able to get it at Guitar Center; I bought mine through Amazon.

Gary --
Maybe this is the same OM-03MT. I got it used from a guy who was not the first owner. I HAD corresponded with the first owner as well via the Larrivee forum. Was that you perchance?

No -- that would not be it then.

Thanks for the note on the Behringer though. I'll see if I can check one out.

I have used mine thru a homebuilt clean boost and the K&K Pure. Tone, to my ears and those of my wife, was definitely improved with either preamp. The tone controls on the Pure add a little more flexibility. I only do open mics. If I was performing in a less hectic setting, the floor models would be more convenient I think.

Haven't used the Behringer but for $27, that's a cheap thing to try out.
