Default Shaw-Blades "Influence"

I just picked up the Shaw-Blades Cd called Influence. Cover songs like "Summer Breeze", "Time of the Season", "For What it is Worth" and a lot more....Excellent CD. I believe they used Taylor guitars for most of the CD. By the way, Tommy Shaw from Styx and Jack Blades from Night Ranger.

Great CD!

I heard them live on Howard Stern a few weeks ago and they sounded great.

I got the CD a few weeks ago. I like it very much except their version of the Orleans classic Dance with me.

I got this cd today and just transfered it to my Ipod and am listening to it now WOW!!!!!!! what voices these guys have...... I think my favorite is "Your Move" by Yes, these guys nail it, oh also "Dance With Me" by Orleans is another great song and you have to have some kind of range to do that song and again , Bill why didn't you like that song?????????????

I thought they sounded better on Howard Stern than on the CD. I prefer when they just do acoustic covers. The whole band versions on the album just seemed like boring remakes to me. But the all acoustic set they played on Howard Stern's satellite radio show was awesome.

Louie, I really like the song it is one of my favorites but I just think Shaw-Blades version lacks the tight smooth harmonies of the original.

I'm incredibly impressed with this album! Shaw and Blades are aging much more gracefully than most of their peers!

-just realized I dug up an old thread...ok....boring Friday night.
