Default dBerch's new CD "Live on GLT"

Mods: please move or delete as appropriate.

Greetings, all. Hope you don't mind a shameless plug for my new CD, "Live on GLT".

This CD was recorded live, during two separate guest appearances I did at our local NPR affiliate station, WGLT 89.3 FM, based in Illinois State College. The appearances were on Bruce Bergethon's program "Acousticity."

I'd be honored if you would check it out - no obligation to buy, you can listen to samples of all the tracks without purchasing or entering any information.

David Berchtold: Live on GLT

Four of the tracks are new performances of songs I previously recorded on my debut CD. The other six are some of my all-time favorite cover tunes.

Thanks!

WOW! That's some good stuff! What guitar are you using (it sounds very similar to a guitar I own) and how did you record it?

Larrivee OM-05MT: Tracks 2, 3, 7, and 8.
Larrivee D-05: Track 6
Martin OM-28V: Tracks 1, 4, 5, and 9

All the above recorded with a Behringer B1 mic ($99) about 3 feet away.

Track 10 is my Larrivee OM-05MT, Recorded at home direct via the K&K Sound Pure Western mini. Repeat: no mic, and no fancy processing to make the pickups sound better.

I'm curious, Why didn't you use your Collings for any of the tracks?

Is it a program - your computer or a multitrack?

Hi Songman. If I remember correctly, I think I was concerned about the bass on the Collings, combined with low-cost mic at a no-profit radio staion. That D1A' bass is MONSTROUS! Turns out I had nothing to fear though. I went back the next time with the Collings and it sounded fine. That session didn't make the CD but they posted one of the songs on their website:
http://wglt.org/programs/acousticity/index.shtml and click on "The Fisherman" link.

Hey Works, Track 10 was record like this:
Larrivee OM-05MT (w/K&K) -> K&K Pure XLR preamp -> M-Audio Duo digital interface -> my PC using nTrack software.

I was testing the preamp, which I had just gotten. It was a one-take recording that turend out good enough I thought I'd round out my CD with it as the last track. Plus it's one of my favorite tunes.

Thanks for the nice comments, folks!
