Default A new short tune...

I've posted a draft of an idea I've been kicking around for a little while. I'm not sure if I'm going to extend it, but I know it needs a few transitional notes here and there. Its the first song on my music page. Any constructive criticism is welcome as usual. I recorded it with my Masterbilt DR-500R.

Don't jump the gun, yet. Give it time ! Besides, if nobody takes the time to listen and/or to comment doesn't mean that the music is not good. If you believe in the tune, then, it doesn't really matter what anybody thinks.
I kind of like the beginning. I would probably continue in that mood. Use it as a theme, expand it, come back to it, expand it again...
Many times a thought will return to it's origin.

Barry, try to think more of a melody line than just making chord changes. Maybe even just work up a single note melody line and then put chords to it to make it work. You can get away with not much of a melody line if you have a great rhythmic beat going on but usually one needs some identifiable tune to get their interest going. You play "Over The Rainbow". That is a great melody if there ever was one. Think about that one and how it is put together.

Bern, I'll keep at it. Good points and thanks for the encouragement.

Rick, thanks for the suggestions. I do get caught up in chord changes. I do have to think in more in terms of melody as you say. Again, Thanks for the feedback.
