Default Taping set lists to your guitar

Hi
I was watching the Dylan film- No Direction Home and noticed how many of the performers had set lists taped to their guitars. Haven't seen anyone do this recently but was wondering if anyone from the forum does this and what they use for tape etc.
Thanks

Taygull, he said scotch tape, not scottish tape.

And I've used scotch tape for that purpose on occasion myself, although in a band I think it's easier to write the list large on a full sheet of paper and place it on the floor so everyone can see it.

When we saw Pat Kirtley at Anderson Faire a few months ago, he had two sheets of paper on the stage in front of him. One contained his list of songs, the other a list of the stories he would tell between the songs. Said he got that idea from Chet Atkins.

When doing a show with the band i use large cardboard 24"X24" with the set list duct taped to the floor/stage.

I have used the paper on the floor with large fonts- (my eyesight is poor), or have used a Post-It note on the side of the guitar for a small set or chord or lyric cheat sheet. I would never tape anything to my guitar, although I wouldn't be opposed to the scotch part- I find Johnnie Walker Black works for me. Your results may vary.

Another advantage of paper on the floor (which I used to do for my band - A3 portrait in humungous font, 1 sheet per set, spread out as much as possible) is that it gives you plenty of room for Notes To Self re singing verses in the right order and that sort of thing.

i like all of your ideas!
i just use the basic music stand and on it it has the tab as needed and a 3" x 5" card for the set list....
