Default Information about 412

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

1. Would this model have the NT neck?

2. Is the price reasonable?

I really want a concert style non-cutaway Taylor. But they are hard to find. Anyone have one for sale?

1. No, this guitar was made before the NT necks were introduced. That would not be a disqualifier for me. I have a '95 Taylor, pre-NT, one that is excellent!

2. We only discuss guitar prices privately, but I think I'm safe in saying that I personally might not pay the evaluated price, but the current bid price I'd jump at. Someone else may think the evaluation is perfectly fair. Depends on what you want and how much you want it.

If this guitar is calling you, I'll not stand in the way. Just the kind of man I am, I guess.

I found this vintage of 412 to have a nice balanced bottom to top response, doesn't zzzzzing like a lot of Taylors - would be a good blues guitar most likely, and a nice guitar to have around. In other words, a very good guitar, possibly more - and I agree with Cotten on the valuation, esp. used. However, it's not THAT far out of line.

I miss the one I had a bit - but it also wasn't a dream guitar. Nevertheless, a bargain price would make it a great find.

Worry less about the guitars you want. Play the guitar you have more.
The answer will come, and it will not be what you expect.

A guitar is a tool, and a friend. But it is not the answer.

It is the beginning.

....I paid a bit more than what the listed price because it was in mint condition (no dings, scratches), the seller was a reputable person, it has aftermarker pick up and comes with a pink poodle. I just had my guitar professionally set up and I recently installed an FWI saddle from Bob Colosi and TRC & rosewood button from Capt. Bill. I would not pay more than what the list price is but I will pay the current bid right now. This guitar was a sweet sounding guitar especially if you like to fingerpicked.
