Mayson Guitars - anybody else??
I posted a NGD post about a Mayson guitar I came to purchase a few months ago. Really a gorgeous, well made guitar crafted overseas. I did take it in and had it Plek'd, which made it play even better.
Just curious if anyone else on here has owned one, played one, etc.?? Here is a link to their website: https://maysonguitars.eu/

Jim, your posts were the first I had ever heard of this Mayson brand of guitars. I haven’t seen any in person.

I had one maybe 5 years ago. Mine was had laminated back and sides. It was a fantastic sounding guitar. If I recall I doubled my money when I sold it.
Edit: it was 8 years ago. https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...ghlight=Mayson

There's a Belgian guy who does excellent online tutorials, mostly of Tommy Emmanuel tunes. He usually plays a Mayson which I think sounds fantastic.

Looks like they have been in business for just over 10 years.
Interesting in that it does not appear to be a "I was a luthier" then decided to go bigger story, but more of a built some prototypes then put together the machinery to produce larger scale. I don't want to knock them unfairly as I have not heard their sound, but the story and a picture of a guy behind a desk does not inspire at least me to want to try one in a field filled with talented guitar craftsmen and well established brands. They could make brilliant sounding guitars, but I think the marketing approach does not speak to some of us. This just how it struck me and I wish anyone luck who tries to be an entrepreneur.
