What is he playing?

Hi, I need a little help. In Wood&Steel spring 2005, on page 31, there is a photo of Artie, Beppe and Dan playing together. My question is: Is Artie playing x12 or x14? Thank you for your opinions.

Thank you guys, you were helpful. x12 than doesn't look so small on this photo (never saw one over here, but trying to get one, and now collecting as many info as I can get on x12).
