Default Goodall Aloha

I took a chance on a Goodall - a mahogany Aloha with a Sitka top.

Here's the link to the ebay auction.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

It came in today, and it's incredible. If this is the 'low end' Goodall, then the high end must be phenomenal.

What a guitar!

You're right. They are incredible guitars. I just got a Rosewood Grand Concert Cutaway with Engelmann top and I cannot put it down. I played a guitar like yours at Buffalo Bros and it sounded great. Goodalls vary of course from model to model but they all have his signature tone which he describes on his website. Even my wife said it sounds different! Congratulations.

Ya got a great one! I have the exact same one and it's my favorite. I also have a Goodall RCJC cedar top that is just as wonderful but I'll tell you....most of the time I go for my mahogony/sitka CJ...just because it's the low end...has NOTHING to do with the playability or the tone...believe me...there is something about that mahogony/sitka that comes from James that is truly remarkable....congrats on an absolutley wonderful guitar....it doesn't get any better!

Kudos on a great guitar at a great price! Do you plan to sleep tonight? This will make for a Merry Christmas in Brenham. Enjoy!

So you're the one who got that geetar, eh? I was thinking about it...great price on BIN.

The Aloha is a most excellent instrument. That was my first departure from Taylor to Goodall, and I've never looked back. This may not be your last Goody...the camel's nose is now under the tent. Their bottom line Aloha is better than many other upper line guitars. I still love my TrOM.
