Bedell Angelica Bellisima
Take two: Up for sale is a gorgeous Bedell Angelica Bellisima. It has a pit red cedar top and East Indian Redwood B/S. 1 3/4" at the nut; 25" scale. It is sold as a parlor guitar but I have found it more similar to the dimensions of a OO. When I found this guitar I immediately fell in love with it for its beautiful tone both for single note runs and for chords. I think it sounds as good as much more expensive guitars. Then I looked closely at the wood--eye-popping EIR on the back and sides and the mellow look of cedar on the top. It came to me easy playing and I made it a little easier with a few adjustments.
Tom Bedell prides himself on using only sustainable woods. While examining it for this post I noticed a tiny ding in the binding on the back, so I will lower the price. It is too small to photograph. $2600 plus shipping and PP fees. |
