Default A Friend Passed Unexpectedly

My friend and next door neighbor Keith of some 25 plus years passed away of a heart attack last Friday morning around 7:30 in his garage. I heard the ambulance backing up and heard his wife screaming and when I ran over next door the E.M.'s were trying to revive him to no avail. It was absolutely horrible.
Keith was only 57. I am still in shock.
He was one of the most generous, honest and hard-working guys I ever knew.
He would do anything for you. He and I used to sit on his front porch and just talk about anything and everything.
He was great with kids and volunteered as a basketball coach for a traveling team of junior high boys for a number of years. Everybody in our neighborhood knew Keith and he was liked by all. I will miss him a lot.
Cherish your family and friends folks. Every day is a gift.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I still mourn the sudden loss of a friend 11 years ago.

Prayers heading to you and his widow.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Rok. Sounds like he'll be missed by many. May his friends and family find peace.

I feel for you, and all associated with such a well liked and respected man. It is devastating. Be well.

They say " You only live once" , no, you only die once, you live every day. Things like this make you aware of just how precious and fleeting the time we have here is.
I'm sorry about your friend Keith, he sounds like the kind of guy I'd like to hang on the front porch with too.

Very sorry to hear that - there seems to be a great deal of this type of thing lately. We definitely have to cherish every day.

Jamie, I'm so sorry for your loss. Keith sounds like an amazingly good guy that many of us can relate to. I can't imagine what his wife and family are going through. On 12/30, my sister's boyfriend died unexpectedly in his sleep. He was 51yo, and nobody saw it coming -- in fact, he was scheduled to perform with his band on Canadian national TV the very next night (New Year's Eve). Earlier today, she posted: "Honor the space between 'no longer' and 'not yet.'" Wise words for the rest of us.

Sorry for your loss—and for his family and his community. I agree with Davis: Every day is a gift.

This is so sad for all who loved Keith, including you rok. Too young. It must hurt you.

I'm sorry to hear about this.

Life is so fleeting, I see it daily in the ICU.

Peace to you.
