Help K&K Meridian mic won't work with Bose L1c
I am perplexed. My Meridian condenser mic works fine with my Roland Ac-33, but I tried it both direct to my Bose L1 compact and also through my Rcf mixer to the Bose and I get no signal. Any ideas?

Just checked the manual on the AC33 - does not provide phantom. K&K site says the SB preamp supplies 5v and that's what the Meridian requires.... Hmm.....

1/4". This is very perplexing. I see no reason for it not to work. I tried switching cables, and still nothing. I plugged into my Roland and perfect signal, unplug that cable and plug in direct to the Bose and nothing!

the next step in troubleshooting would be to check that input on the Bose (use another source)

I think i have found the problem. I called k&K to ask why this is happening. I was told that the preamp needs a mono cable . I had been using a stereo cable. They explained to me that some amps will make the third ring a ground, which is probably happening on the Roland and that is why the stereo cable is working for that amp. The Bose probably does not do that, so if i switch to a mono cable i should be all set. Will try tonight.
