Default Any under priced Gibson Flat Tops?

This really is just fantasy shopping, but I was wondering if there are any good sounding Gibsons that go for less on the second hand market due to reasons of fashion/taste?

I've noticed J40s seem to be cheap & I've seen CL series go for less than I might anticipate as well.

Sometimes the late '90s-early '00s WM ("Working Musician" or "Working Man") models (WM-45, WM-00, WM-180) turn up for cheap.

There was a recent J35 in the classifieds on this site last week that was an absolute bargain. My recently acquired J35 is my only acoustic (after going through countless acoustics over the past 20 years) and has seemingly cured my GAS. Though time will tell if that is truly the case. Great guitar though.

At $1499, the J-15 is a bargain brand new.

Used, they go for about a grand +-.

Gibson Gospel reissue from the early 90's. Outstanding tone that can usually be found under $1000

J-25, an extremely short-lived experiment from the early-80's aimed at (and somewhat resembling) a mid-depth Ovation Balladeer and, like the Ovation, also available in a (very rare) acoustic/electric version - I've heard of them going for as little as $400 with OHSC (in itself worth the price; TMK the factory case was specific to this model, it fits no other Gibson acoustic, nor does the J-25 fit any other Gibson factory case)...

While I admit it was an unusual situation, I recently bought a shop-worn NOS
J-35 for less than $1K. I would have paid considerably more. The -35 has a great sound at a reasonable price.

Chicago music exchange is selling "demos" with warranties for crazy cheap. and you can still offer them lower with good probability of a hit...

When I have bought from them, it has always been delivered mint and immaculately packaged.

I googled for a picture & I must admit my first thought was yuck - so I can see why they are cheap! By all accounts they're supposed to sound great though. I shall keep an eye out for one close enough to play

It depends on what you are looking for. The 1970's 'Mark' series can be had pretty cheaply. As well as a lot of the Norlin era acoustics. Or you can look for a 'players grade' instrument - something that is still very playable, but perhaps has a lot of buckle rash, or had a hideous pickguard installed at some point. I have a vintage J45 that is a very solid, and great sounding instrument, but it isn't much to look at.

I think J35s sound great and they are around $1k used (a tad higher).

Advanced Jumbos can go quite low at times, bought mine for $1400

If you can get a used J-15 for under $1k you've got yourself the best deal on the market.
