Default Incoming Emerald X20 Custom Artisan Woody - Cocobolo

After inspired by this custom Emerald,

http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...=440684&page=2

so I wanted a similar one. Thanks to Sean and Alistair, they managed to source a similar veneer for my upcoming custom. Four months wait I was told.

I opted for the following on my Artisan

1) Cocobolo veneer
2) No pick up
3) No hard case
4) Gig bag

They adjusted the price accordingly to accommodate the addition of the veneer and the exclusion of the standard pick up and hard case on the Artisan I requested.

Wow Pandaroo!!! When I first saw the "original" X-20 in cocobolo, I was stunned by it's artistic beauty.
Now I can only imagine what your little beauty will look like...That Alistair sure has a way with visualizing art eh???
Oh...and I know from experience what She will sound like Amigo...You will LOVE it...

Congrats, I too took the plunge and ordered an X20 Artisan with Cocobolo Veneer. I did get a Baggs pickup in mine but also opted for the gig bag to save a little dough. I have a couple of the Hicox cases that came with my other Emeralds and while they are a fantastic cases I rarely use them so kind of a waste for me personally.

I'm so glad they are able to work with people and help wherever they can. Don't think I've ever dealt with a company quite as good as they are!

Sean & Allister are really great people to work with!

Now the wait begins but luckily I have a few nice ones to tide me over until it arrives.

Default X20 with Coco!

Man, that will be stunning. Congrats!!!

I didn't think I could wait even a short duration to get one of the X20's and was fortunate in that they had one in Amber ready to go. I did have the pickup changed out from the standard Element over to the Anthem.

I'm hoping it ships this week..........can hardly wait!!

pandaroo, I too have been smitten by the same coco/heartwood X20 in your posted link and could not resist. I have something in the works.

With that set, yours is going to look fabulous. Can't wait to see it.

Clay, that coco X20 has been posted on the Emerald FB page a number of times after it was first posted by its owner in a thread here. It's the one that got me drooling. In fact, I have the page on the Emerald website for that custom guitar always open so I can drool whenever I want!

It was the photo of that cocobolo beauty that pushed me off the fence and into buying mode last May. I couldn't wait the 4 to 5 months (timing with traveling), but the X7 the folks at Emerald had ready to go made me a very happy guitar-playing boy. OK, maybe 50 or so years beyond "boy," but still very happy.

That cocobolo makes me consider selling off one of my other guitars to make room for another something special from Emerald.

Yeah, I'm drooling.

You can't do a book match like this--this is beyond book match.

I'm thinking our new friend Long Jon was kiddin', Evan... of course, we had to explain to him what Emerald he bought, so go easy on him.

Of course I was kiddin', it's mostly what I do around here, coming up to 7,000 posts now and nearly all just nonsense !

I usually confine my input to the open mic area, cuz, let's face it, I know little about guitars that I didn't read somewhere here.

I know one thing, that X 20 is one bloody gorgeous geetar !
