Default NGD Martin DRS1

I was at my Local GC in South Jersey and came upon a great deal on a Martin DRS1. The price was really goon on this guitar and way better than what I ever seen them normally listed at. There were two reasons I purchased this guitar:

1) I listened to a group on stage last week who had one of their members playing plugged in and sounded great on stage.

2) I played it and love the way the guitar sounds and plays.

I loved the warm tone of this all Sapele Dread guitar and found playing Barre Chords really easy up and down the neck. The guitar is warm sounding like the Martin D-15M and yet can be plugged in and sounds equally as well. The guitar in looks simple but yet is very pleasant and attractive to the eye. What a really nice guitar for the money. I had no reason at all in buying a guitar but when I seen the price and played it, I had to have it. I am really glad I did. What a really nice guitar. I like to call this purchase the biggest bang for the buck.

Congrats. I haven't played the dread but the road series has impressed me. Enjoy!

I have had my DRS1 about 18 months. Just starting out I was overwhelmed with all the different tones and prices. The DRS1 got my ear and wallet. It really is a wonderful sound. I put Martin Reto strings on it about a month ago. I really like them. Along with the Charmed life pick I love this guitars sound. Good luck with your new guitar.

Congratulations!
I love my DRS1 too. Sounds fantastic acoustically and plugged-in.
I have bright 80/20 strings on mine, and I think the brightness of the strings helps balance the "warm profile' of the guitar.
A winner for sure.
Enjoy!
