Default New Fishman solo amp

Fishman confirmed today in a text conversation with me:

"It will be called the SA330x and has more power - more channels and a Subwoofer option as well as a 4-channel expander/mixer option add on. Other than that, I can't give away too many details about it since we have not yet launched it"

Looking forward to hearing it.

With the right combination of tone, power, coverage, size, weight, ease of use, looks and price, they will likely have a winner, even though there is a lot of competition. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

I do not need any of this, so, if nothing else, will probably on the lookout for a great deal on another SA220.

I would have purchased the new JBL Eon One already if it wasn't for the new Fishman amp coming out. I was chatting with the senior Fishman rep at Sweetwater's GearFest and he said if you love the SA220, the new amp will blow me away. I never heard the older model but I know many people that swear it's the best amp for solo gigs. If that's the case, then this new model must really be something special.

The rep told me it was supposed to be released in 3 weeks and it's been over a month since GearFest so I would imagine it will be released this summer.

The rep I spoke to wouldn't reveal any of the new features so you got hold of a cool rep who shared quite a bit with you.

Please post if you get anymore info.

Thanks

I need something like this for my school. I play guitar to accompany a 60 voice choir. 2 solo Mics as well. I auditioned the larger Mackie Reach today. Bluetooth was a great addition. $1000 out the door. I wonder what the sticker price will be on an updated SA330?

I've been a huge SA220 fan and have used one for five years. I'm trying to reconcile where they're going with a new SA330 with more channels and all that when it's still (I assume) supposed to be a solo performance system. Sounds to me like they're abandoning the solo part and just making a new tower-style PA. Nothing wrong with that, and of course more power and the optional add-ons could be good, but really, what guitarist/vocalist needs a subwoofer and more channels? Maybe a keyboardist, I suppose... Of course there's plenty I and we don't yet know about this new model. Fishman makes great stuff, I know that. It'll be interesting to get the whole scoop, for sure...

Seems to be taking a long time. Is this built in the same factory as the other guy's solo amp?

Just kidding!

I think a lot of potential buyers want to hear the word "subwoofer" attached to their gear. Same thing for "stereo" and PA equipment. Nobody really wants half their sound on one side of the audience only! (At least I guess they don't.)

I have wanted a SoloAmp for years. I finally decided to pull the trigger the other day. They are no more. Bummer. I had an online order from GC but they just called and said they cancelled the order as they won't be getting any more. I hope the new one hasn't been enhanced out of my price range.

I have belonged to forums where members can give upvotes for good posts and down votes for inappropriate posts. It can get kind of silly actually.
