Default What's the Difference? Thanks for the Certs!

Don Ross calls this "certs" tuning, 3-tunings-in-one! I wrote this one over the winter, hope you enjoy...

That is pretty amazing stuff! Love the groove and use of harmonics.

That was really cool J. Drew! ...your a very fluid player and the guitar sounds very nice. I enjoyed listening to this and some of your other videos too!

Another beautiful tune, John. Really like the groove on this one. What is the tuning?

Glad you like it- the tuning is FACGCE, an open Fmaj.9 chord. I learned Don Ross' "First Ride" in this tuning and have started to connect with it. A little counter-intuitive going UP a 1/2 step on the bass, but otherwise not too radical.

Default Don liked it!

I had the audacity to send this video to Don Ross, whose tuning I borrowed, and just received this reply from him: "Sweet sound! Glad you were able to recycle the tuning!"
I'm on cloud 9. That master guitarist is one very gracious dude for even listening...
