Default Martin prices!!!!

I blinked and it seems that Martin prices on this side of the pond have increased by 6 or 7 percent. The OOO18 is now almost £2000 in most outlets and it seemed just a few weeks ago that they were under £1900!!!

Martin raises prices on a yearly basis. So best to buy before the next price increase or find New/ Old Stock, if you can find one.

The pound fell about 10% relative to the dollar in the past year.

They went up here as well. The D16GT went up 15%, street asking price. That is the one that stuck out in my mind but I think they all went up. Some of the old stock is still at the old prices though. But they're going fast.

Default Martin prices!!!!

Buy used unless you really want new. The last Martin that I bought was 2 years old and I paid less than half of the retail price.

It seems like the going price for a 000-15Ms was $1299, now $1459. There are still a few listed at the old price, but a number of establishments are now at the higher price.

As noted already, Martin does raise some prices every year, as do most other guitar builders. The retail price of the 000-18 went from $2899 USD in 2015, to $3099 USD for 2016. Moral of the story, better buy one now before it goes up again.

A year an a half ago, new D-35's could be bought all over for $2,599 plus tax, now they're up to $2,799, plus tax.

Wow... $200 increase, 6.9%

I didn't know new prices increased that much annually. Yes, for new guitars, it seems best to jump on something now if you know what you want rather than waiting.
