Default Sometimes there are no words

Today I got called into work. All I was told at the time was that it was impossible for the person I was covering to make it in. I just found out it was because he needed to go to the hospital. You know in the old Looney Toons cartoons, where Bugs Bunny sticks his finger in the end of Elmer Fudd's gun to stop it from firing? He tried to prove to someone that it works and subsequently shot one of his fingers off.

Your post and your sig make an elegant juxtaposition.

Certain obstructions in a gun barrel might result in a burst barrel. A finger is probably not one of the things that would cause that, and I doubt if anyone has done scientific ("non-injurious") testing to find out for sure.

Someone might also want to let that co-worker know that running off a cliff, reversing direction, and trying to run back onto the cliff is probably not a good idea, either. (Just in case he's also a fan of Wile E. Coyote, etc.)

I bet his last words before he did that were 'hold my beer".

I am guessing it was the index finger on his non dominant hand.

If they haven't already done it; this story should be explored further on Mythbusters. I am sure they will use the mandatory pork steak in place of human flesh.
