Default Super fleas

Anyone else notice this? We've been battling fleas on our dogs all year. We've used all the meds, Frontline, the pills, flea baths. The only one that even works temporarily are flea baths. The meds do nothing. And even after the baths the fleas are back in few days. Now we learn that fleas have mutated into "super fleas", and are generally immune to the meds.

I trust the "news" in the National Enquirer way more than the news in the Globe.
This is the future of news. With the steady decline of professional journalism including fact checkers and editors this type of entertainment is passed off as news. Even the remaining news media is buying this tripe because they have downsized their newsrooms so drastically no one is available to do real research and reporting.

We're fortunate that we haven't had a flea problem with our two dachshunds where we live in Florida...though I'm really not sure why. Maybe it's the Sandhill cranes that live around here...we call them the bug patrol. They do a really good job.

We've always had a couple of dogs and haven't had any fleas since we ditched the flea collars for pills or liquid we put on their backs once a month. We've been doing this successfully for a very long time. I can remember coming home from a summer vacation about 20 years ago and standing in our living room with my legs (in shorts) looking like they were covered with pepper. We had to "bomb" the house and get serious about flea control from m that point on. We also have ticks and Lyme disease we have to deal with as well and the current dosage of K9 Advantix II works well.

Yes! My in-laws have been fighting with these rascals. We have more animals so we're concerned that we'll get them soon.

They've got nothing on Jurassic fleas. If they come back we're in trouble. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0501162730.htm

We keep our two cats indoors but living at the beach we bring in fleas from the sand and beach trail. Our vet suggested we give our cats a shot (Program) every six months. A little pricy but worth it. Cats don't suffer from fleas or have a reaction to the medication.

So you're saying it isn't true?

CBS morning news reports on the Kardashians as well. It doesn't make it news.

In order to attract advertisers, media company's have turned entertainment into news. Try to picture Walter Cronkite reporting on Super Fleas.

Btw this is just my opinion. I'm not trying to convince anyone.
