Default NGD - Froggy Bottom H-12 C Deluxe

Hi Friends -
Well, after quite an internal debate I pulled the trigger and purchased a new Froggy Bottom H-12 C. All I can say is Wow! The great folks at Music Emporium (thanks Adam) had this wonderful guitar in stock and, as of late last night, I am her first owner.

The tone is pure and stunning - the fit and finish on the guitar is something one would expect from Michael and his team. This is a legacy guitar that will be passed down generationally - and well used in the mean time.

Here are some pictures...

It's gonna be a good weekend!

Thanks for looking...
Scott

Welcome to the band of successful internal debaters.

You're going to have fun with that Froggy. Be warned -- H-12 rosewoods think they're dreads, so be diplomatic if the topic comes up.

BIG CONGRATS!!! Ahhhh, internal debate...yes, I know the feeling well. I bought a H12c Adi/EIR just about a month ago, after struggling to decide if I should part with a couple special guitars to make it happen. I have absolutely no regrets...these are magnificent, magical guitars that honestly just captivate you with their tone! They have a big voice, with lots of subtle nuances that I find completely inspiring. You'll love it! Have fun, and play the frets off of 'er!

Big congrats, stptak! Frogs are magical, there's no denying it. I've often wondered how he pulls it off, bracing these things so lightly... but every 10+ year old Frog that has come through the shop has been holding together wonderfully!

You should take advantage of your geography and have a visit w/ Mr. Millard, who knows how much longer he'll be at it? Like drplayer says, play it like crazy, 'cause it's only going to get better!

The bracing is ridiculously light, and I'd never seen anything like that until I owned one.

A couple of years ago when I still lived in Germany, a German luthier (Christian Stoll) was looking at my P12 I had brought along. I commented on how light the bracing was, and he noted that the top was thicker than his guitars.

Perhaps that's how they manage to get that uncommon but "magical" combination of dry fundamentals with a decoration of overtones.
