FS: 1993 Santa Cruz OM
I bought this recently on the forum. Terrific guitar but we just bought a new house and it's time to reel in the pennies! This is a 1993 Santa Cruz OM standard East Indian rosewood back and sides with a Sitka Spruce top. You are not buying this guitar for its looks as it has a considerable amount of cosmetic wear. There is finish checking on the top in several places and a couple on the back. There is a professionally repaired crack that has been stable for many years. There are a few other marks and scuffs. That being said, this is a marvelous guitar. Nothing sounds better than aged Sitka and this top has had 22 years to do so. Rich, loud, woody and robust tone with sparkling trebles. It really sings warm and clear. Nutwidth is 1 3/4", standard scale. The neck is low profile, very fast and easy to play, definitely lower than recent SCGC's. Santa Cruz branded open back tuners. Bone saddle with perfect setup, great for fingerstyle but no buzzing on strums. Hardshell case included, it's worn but does it's job well. I found a demo online of a similar guitar (it's a 1995)and the tone is quite accurate:
youtube.com/watch?v=8LqvKTxASYU I'd like to sell this and have priced it at $XXXX PP gift plus shipping. Bought and sold a bunch here, happy to refer or chat personally. I'm in San Diego if you want to play this tone machine. Thanks! Last edited by skim500; 06-05-2015 at 07:34 AM. |

James Nash of The Waybacks plays a 93' SCGC OM, and it's amazing...
