Default Tip for filling planet waves humidifier

After the thread yesterday, I thought I'd share how I fill mine. I keep pumping it full with the syringe until it overflows out of the holes in the sides. Then, with the syringe empty, insert it into the fill hole againand turn it up-side-down and suck out about 1/2 of the syringe. Wipe it off and you are set to go. By taking out that 1/2 load of water, it will not drip into the guitar and I know it is full. There is no guessing if you have enough or not also. Give it a try, it actually works.

I do something similar.

I fill it until it overflows excessively, the I shake the living daylights out of it into the sink or a towel.

ZERO chance of any water dripping on my guitar.

Default I will try it.

Good idea.
How often do you fill it? Is it once a month or every other week?

Just fill it til it overflows out of the overflow slot on the end. No need to take anything out. Dry it off, and you are set. Never had a problem.

I don't think you really have to shake the daylights out of it --

it wont drip -- I fill mine the gently tap it -- wipe it dry and it never drips--

in fact before I ever used it I filled it to the brim then wiped it dry -- hung on a little paper holder over my desk, and it never dripped.

But I genly shake a little out just to be safe.
