power pegs
I was just wondering if anyone has tried these new power pegs. Over the years I have tried different peg materials but always seem to come back to the standard pegs, I kind of like the fact that you don't have to pry the peg out of the hole anymore, but they look pretty funky to me. I have always thought that the acoustic guitar was a thing of beauty, these new pegs look like they don't belong

Hi Andor,
Please don't be offended by the first two comments on your thread. The Power Pins have been discussed quite a bit here on the AGF, and many of the discussions have turned heated. Some people think they work great, and some people think the concept is flawed. They are a sponsor here on the forum. You might want to contact them. If you search for old threads on the subject, I'm afraid you will not get a clear answer to your question. Thanks, Glenn

Power pins
Yes, one thing that there is a definitely no shortage of on this forum is opinions. And we are more than happy to share, or force them upon you, as the case may be .

I didn't mean to offend anyone. It's just that we had two, possibly three, long, somewhat heated threads on the subject just in the last several weeks, and they'd finally died down. The prospect of rehashing it all was more than I could take at that moment.
Seeing that the OP was new, I should have exercised more care in my response. My sincere apologies.

Cut the OP some slack. It's his second post. How was he supposed to know that the power pin things have been discussed here recently?
For those who don't yet have hundreds, or even thousands, of posts under their belts....it's a new and interesting subject. Let them discuss it without chiming in with "been there, done that" posts. How is a new person supposed to feel welcome if he gets chided for trying to start a conversation about something that interests him? So knock it off. Rant over. |
