Seriously, I agree with you that leaving it for a week would not likely be a problem. Though I can't say that I have ever done this, so I have no personal experience with this. Hopefully, someone better versed in this question than I will offer their experience. My Voyage-Air sits in the folded up position for months with no tension on the neck and it has not had a problem. - Glenn

My tuner bushings are starting to come up on the headstock due to the string tension, and i'm currently out of town so the only available time for me to take the guitar in to a shop is next Saturday.
