Default Has anyone moved a recent (2011) J-45 pickguard?

Was there an issue with the finish under the PG? I'm sure mine won't have a shadow, but I don't know what is going on Lacquer wise.

Also, What adhesive is safe to use in applying a PG to a nitro finish?

My guitar is going in to have the grovers replaced with drop-in white button klusons, so if I can have the pick guard moved at the same time, that would be the bonus. Or I will just have to order a nice firestrype guard down the line.

Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated

I changed the guard on my TV to one I got from firestripepickguards.com
Best Gibson type guard on the market, beveled edges, beautiful pattern.
I didn't like the thin guard or placement of the original one.
The 3M sheet adhesive came on the guard, it can be bought at Stew Mac or LMI
White button tuners are the way to go on a J45

It looks like they do not have any for sale right now, unless I am reading it wrong.
