Fair enough! I should have specified Tower Hamlets instead of East London. Besides, dodgy as it could be at times, it was still an entertaining place full of friendly people, especially whilst strolling down Brick Lane at 2 am to get a bagel. Anyway, sorry to have given offense - in truth, I would give almost anything to live in East London again.
