Default Best first acustic for the buck ?? $ 1K (Left handed)

What is the best acoustical (for the new guy) for the buck?
Not saying that $ is not an issue
BUT !
I've been around the block enough times to finally realize "I can't afford to buy cheap" (and due to regrets, discard it and start over)

On balance what is the best bang for the buck regarding acoustical ??
I'm not referring to the investment instrument that's 10's of Thousands that you include in your financial portfolio, but the guitar that I won't outgrow as soon as I develop some skills.
Something I can be proud to own (A Keeper) for $1000 or under (or there abouts)
Thanks

You are not giving enough information to get good, specific recommendations.

Do you need all solid? What's your playing style? Do you need electronics or a cutaway? Nut width and neck profile preference? Wood/tone preference? What size guitar?

Without more specifics you may get dozens of suggestions and none of them be right for you.

There are really too many to list. If you go used you can find some amazing stuff for $1000. If you stay new and stretch the budget a bit to 1200ish, you will open up a whole new world of awesomeness unavailable at your original budget.

You need to get to a good store and start playing and see what you like.

Hi Tf...

A Seagull, S-6. Decent, and you will not outgrow it soon. And when/if you do, it can become your backup (kickaround, camping, beach etc) guitar.

With a case and extras you are ˝ your budget, and well under way to learning to play.
