Just got back from guitar center with their last FG730s. What a huge difference from the old Mitchell was playing. Nice sound, nice low action with no fret buzz. This wil be all the guitar I'll ever "need".

Congrats on your new guitar! Play it and love it! Those Yammy dreads are a remarkable value to be sure.

Nothing more true!! You'll likely never need anything else. Its the want that will get you.

Bob, Congratulations on your new Yamaha, I love my FG730S. I put a bone saddle in, had a setup done to lower the action and wow, what a sweet guitar, not just a good value but a real sweet guitar, a keeper for sure! Enjoy!

Yeah, I will no doubt want something better at some point. I've been playing on and off for few years so I'm basically a beginner. This guitar will take me far but at some point I'll want something better. My brother in law has a Martin D-28 that sounds SO good. Would love one of those. I think in the interim I'll have this one set up with a bone nut and saddle.

On a side not I picked up Mel Bays Modern guitar method 1 and 2. I really like how it is organized. I've played thru page 41 so far and I love how it really hammers in the topic at hand. I had the Hal Leonard book at one point and I think the Mel Bay is far superior. I even like it better than the Levitt books.
