Default FS: Two Fantastic Fender Strats

I've decided to put two of my Fender strats up for sale to help fundraise for an upcoming acoustic purchase. Ultimately, I'm going to be considering either a D-28 or a D-35, depending on what sells. I already have some funds set aside, so if you're interested in a trade + cash for either (or both), let me know and we can work something out.

Otherwise, as a straight sale, here we go. Both strats come with a hardshell case.

Fender Blacktop Strat - SOLD
I'm a single-coil guy, but I have to say that the Blacktop start, with dual humbuckers and a 5-way switch is an awesome idea and in actual use, is even more awesome. You get three classic sets of tones, from LP to Strat to Tele (sort of a twangy option). For me, this was a perfect option for a guy who loves strat necks and often wants to switch back to the neck-middle option on a strat.

Here's a link to a YouTube video of a Blacktop Strat so you get some ideas on what the tones are like - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2uPx0XaBAk

Fender Mutt Strat (MIM neck and a MIJ body) - $400
So, this is a partscaster with Fender parts. A '96 MIM neck with a MIJ quilted body. On paper, this might not sound as fantastic as it is in person, but I was incredibly surprised by the quality of the tone and feel of this guitar. I know MIM necks can be all over the board, but this one is a dang fine neck and is as comfortable and fast as any Fender neck I've played on any of my Am starts. I'm not exactly sure what the pickups are, but they sound great. The pups are a little warmer than the pickups in my mid-90s strat. There are two very small, barely noticeable drill holes in the headstock, most likely from a prior string tree and they do not impact the tone at all.

Well, I'm headed down a country road, so I might as well search for a tele trade to lessen this strat load.

No affiliation, just thought I'd let you know about this since I was perusing their site the other day and noticed you're in IA:
