Default Miche and Uli Heim - Seven Days (Sting)

I met guitarist Uli Heim via youtube. He was a guest on my "Miche Today" online series.
He challenged me with a song by Sting "Seven Days :http://youtu.be/WOUIzTO-iks

If you care to see the full segment of the show:http://youtu.be/wytkIluEALI

Excellent - and way better than Sting's version!

Wow... that was superb, Miche! Outstanding. I agree with fitness... that was better than the original. Excellent instrumentation, great rhythm and a wonderful vocal. I absolutely loved it.

I just listened three times. (once was just not enough) It is such a joy to hear the phrasing, musically and vocally, timing, arrangement, and wonderful performance. Thanks for sharing. (I watched the full segment of the show too, nice photos to go with his other songs.) I have a question, was this done remotely, with each of you doing your part separately or were you in the same place at the same time? Great work, thanks again for posting.

Thank you so much jgmaute. Great question. Yes this was done remotely. The basic format of the series is connecting to talent anywhere around the globe. Interviewing via Skype and if possible, collaborating on something. In this case Uli (Germany) sent me a performance and I (NY) added my part to it. It's a new world, huh?

Yes, and I'm benefiting from this new world. Do you do the video editing to put everything together? It's really well done. I also notice that although you are playing a left handed guitar it's strung as a righty, last time I saw this "upside down righty" playing was Libba Cotten , not a bad model!

Yes, I do the editing. I love video editing. They say musicians make good editors because "good editing is all about timing". Apparent Uli's a good editor too.
Indeed, I'm one of those lefties.
Thank you again mate.

I really enjoyed the feel of the entire mix. It had a very breezy elusive feel that I found very compelling.
