Default Kettle Moraine...a duet by Larry Pattis & Peter Janson.

Just posted a nice video of one of the duets I perform with Peter Janson as a part of our American Guitar Masters touring series. This is from the 1/18/14 concert at the Willits Community Theatre in Willits, CA.

Kettle Moraine

Hope you enjoy...

EDIT: Updated the YouTube URL, for a slightly revised video...

Larry, it sounds fantastic!! I remember reading a thread from you a few months ago where you were feeling better and were going to be able to hit the road/gig in 2014 - looks like you've done it. What great crowd response too.

So, you need to tell us what guitar you're playing.

Thanks for this, Dru.

Due to blind-luck, the 2011 Simon Fay Modern OM I was not able to play (for close to 20 months) never sold...and so when a new medication brought my hands back I was indeed lucky to have that guitar on-hand and ready-to-go.

Meanwhile, I'm out on the road with Peter Janson for an 11 gigs in 11 nights tour...big fun, big work, little sleep...

This duet is the culmination of some serious work, and Peter deserves the lion's share of the credit.

I'm not sure that I've ever had more pure-fun playing the guitar as on this piece...

Yes, things are running smoothly with the duet work, and the Simon Fay OM is simply outstanding...always has been.

More travels today, with a concert...will try to look at some more video, but time is at a premium...

Whew, thanks for that. I don't think I exhaled until it was done.

Be well, travel safely.

Wow. Those harmonies are gorgeous! It reminds me of some of the material from the transatlantic sessions. Great stuff!!

Wonderful playing and a lovely tune... whose arrangement is it?

Larry, it is SO VERY GOOD to hear you playing again!

Thanks to all.

It's my original piece, with Peter's original accompaniment...something new (and special, IMO) created from the original!

We're planning an east coast tour for the summer (late June/early July), and there will be more duets, if things go as planned.

It's darned good to be able to pick up a guitar again, and especially-fun when Peter and I get to do stuff such as this...

Gotta run...
