Default K&K mini and light strings

A question: has anyone used light strings with a K&K equipped acoustic and found the strings wouldn't drive the guitar enough to get a strong signal?
Thanks, Andy

My J-35 has .012 - .054 gauge on it, and the K&K sounds excellent.

My custom 000 with a K&K was built for custom lights. Currently running Martin FX Silk n Phosphor 11's no problem at all. Pretty nice sound actually.

I use Elixir Light's (.012)on all my guitars with K&K pure minis with no problem at all, actually have to cut back bass/mids a bit for my preferred EQ balance. My wife's and mother's GS minis have K&K pure minis and both have Elixir Extra Lights (.010) because they prefer the easier playability - no issues with output into the mixer. To prove the sound, I've used my wife's GS mini to lead worship just because my other musician-friends joked that it was a kid's toy and not a real guitar.

I used exactly the same setup and yes the output level was fine. Also I didn't find the amplified sound to be thin despite the shorter scale and the .010 string guage. The K&K is a very warm sounding pickup.

To clarify a little, I put Martin Silk and Steel strings on my Taylor 412. The first couple of gigs with the S&S sounded great but Sat night I lost a big amount of volume. My regular strings are 11-52. The S&S are 115-47.

Problem solved. Sorry to waste everyone's time. The -20dB pad switch on the PA got pressed.
