67 Gibson J50
What strings would be recommended for a 1967 Gibson J-50?

I've been using D'Addario light gauge Phosphor bronze on my '67 J-50 since the Reagan daze. Been quite happy with the sound the guitar produces.

Hi Gooseman,
My suggestion is to let your J-50 make the decision for herself. Try a bunch of different brands of strings, and give them a couple of weeks with her. Although this process can take months, eventually one brand will stand out. I like zabdart's D'addario suggestion, they have worked well for me although I never used them on a late 60s J-50 that I used to own. On my Hummingbird I'm on the fence between Elixer Nanos and John Pearse PB. But your guitar knows what she wants, she just doesn't speak English lol |

The same ones for any year J-50.
