Best electric guitar forum?
What is the best electric guitar online forum? For general info. Recommendations?

For me it's the Hamer Fan Club, hands down!
Most of the members have Hamer USA guitars, some have imprt Hamer's, but they welcome all players. Very civil and cool. http://www.hamerfanclub.com/ |

I've enjoyed gearpage and the telecaster forum. There is also the my Les Paul forum is for the gibby folks, but there is some hostility by some. Quite a few of the folks don't like newbie questions. They feel the site search function should answer questions and not them and I've seen a lot of flaming new members over there.

gearslutz as well as gearpage. it depends upon what "general info" would mean to you as to other websites you would like.

They are all good if you own a specific brand the forum relates to. Either now or in the past, I've participated in the following and enjoyed all of them.
Hamer Ibanez Gearpage Agile (And the SX section) Telecaster Fender Gibson Epiphone Lounge (under the Gibson umbrella) Epi Brethern (by invitation) And don't overlook right here... The electric section of the AGF... With no allegiance to any particular brand, it's the most wide open forum I know to talk about whatever electric guitar you have or want to know about.

Another vote for the gearpage, unless you're going after a specific brand then you may want to check out the brand page (i.e. tele forum). Also, when it comes to pickups, the Seymour Duncan forum is great and it's not just about SD pickups.

Count me in as a fan of The Gear Page and the TDPRI. Those two pretty much cover it for me.

thegearpage definitely.
Although, if you have a particular guitar you're nuts about, the smaller forums are great. I love the Tom Anderson forum, but if you don't own one (or 3), it's not as interesting.

I usually Google my questions instead of using search functions on forums. Most answers that I like come from either the Telecaster Forum or The Gear Page.
I'm a bit on my own when it comes to a 'one guitar' guitar forum, since I'm pretty nuts about my Taylor SolidBody Classic. |

I've been with TDPRI for the longest time, and I've decided to try TGP (The Gear Page)....
I prefer the Telecaster Discussion Page.
