Stonebridge 00 32 SM, 12 fret slot head
I had this out for a good while today to say my goodbyes. I'm slowly getting around to to my great selloff of all the guitars I've amassed pre children. Twins arrive at thanksgiving and the bedroom has to be a bedroom, not a case room.
This is really a delightful and fairly rare 00 small body guitar, it's 1 3/4 nut, short scale, mahogany and the Stonebridge biologically aged spruce which if you've not had the opportunity to try, is exactly what they market it to be. The sound of an old guitar in a new one. This is from 2005 or 6 I believe and is hand signed by Frantisek Furch. Flawless build, frets, geometry, rings for ever and puts out an unbelievable volume of tone for a small print of a guitar. Ebony board and bridge. Nice pewter open tuners. It has an abundance of warmth, 00 style clarity and the highs are thick and sparkly not at all twangy or harsh. I would call it like the diametric opposite of a Kalamazoo KG, very much like santa cruz in tone similarity-- since many haven't heard or played a Stonebridge especially a small one. Standout mid range on this guitar. It has the same saddle height as new and great action. The aged spruce sounds like that one guitar you have that you always tell yourself was a lucky find. This is the last of my Stonebridges, they all had that same quality to the tops though. The guitar is essentially flawless, I can't really find a ding or scratch anywhere, but mint is not in my vocabulary, it has been played and there is always evidence of that, so expect that. It does have a slight tan line where the factory pickguard was removed half way through its life and it's well on its way to blending in but I just haven't set it near a sunny window. If you're pickguard guy or gal, problem solved. If you don't care for pickguards or care about slight tan lines, well then there never was a problem. Comes with OHSC $1750 shipped, paypal's on you or use friends and family. I'll try to get pics up tomorrow, in the meantime if you want some or have questions, email me at [email protected] I can always take some decent ones on my phone and reply with them. thanks for looking here are some quick pics I snapped off real quick with my phone. trades? We're all open to trades. I probably won't do it due to my situation, but we'll both enjoy the possibility. And... you just never know. And that's why we're all ultimately open to trades. Sure doesn't hurt anybody to discuss it. you might have the one to replace the one I'm keeping, who knows.
