Default slight fretboard nick

I have realized there is a slight scratch/nick on the fretboard finish. Nothing big. At first I thought it was something on the fretboard, but it didn't wipe of. Not sure how it got there. Anyways, is this something to worry about? Will it get worse? Can i fix it myself with some sort of polish/finish Can my local store take care of it? Thanks,

~Matt

If it is a very light scratch you might try #0000 steel wool on it. Be sure to rub the steel wool in the direction of the grain. If tthe scratch is too deep to be "buffed out" by the steel wool then have a qualified luthier look at it to get an opinion regarding the next procedure.

I agree totally. I take anything questionable to a local luthier, and he always does me right.
