Default Rainsong customer service

On the general discussion forum I posted a thread regarding unwanted overtones on my LA2-LE Rainsong. I also wrote Rainsong about the problem. It was very impressive how immediate their responses were and speaks very well of their customer service.

The folks at Rainsong are amazing. As to the unwanted overtones, I would advise experimenting with different strings.

BTW, for anyone interested here is the thread on the main forum.

FWIW Rainsong is the only company that sends a thank-you note when you register a new guitar....

How did you resolve the issue? My CO-DR's nut needed a little work to get the open G-string to sound right. Since that part is cast by Graphtech I imagine the problem started with them. Jon

Didn't you get a thank you and welcome to the Taylor family when you registered your Taylor?

No, I didn't; but after a while I began to receive copies of Wood & Steel....

That's odd. I got a really informative email thanking me for purchasing a Taylor and to welcome me to the "Taylor Family" and with a lot of informative stuff, like support email addresses and contact numbers if I had any questions..... the whole nine yards! Strange that you didn't get one. I do love receiving Wood & Steel as well.

Rainsong customer service, in particular Jeanne, has been nothing short of amazing to me. She has been always been so helpful.

Even though I bought my Taylor NS used, I went ahead and called them to register the guitar. They were nice enough to send me a back-copy of Wood and Steel that introduced the model I'd bought. I now also regularly receive Wood and Steel which is an impressive magazine, full of info, guitar history and tips along with what they're currently offering.
Today, my RainSong will arrive when UPS comes and I'll see first-hand their customer service when I register. From what I read, they're a well run company.

I had a less-than-perfect experience, unfortunately, with two consecutive Rainsong guitars and all in all, Rainsong handled the whole thing with class and professionalism. Certainly exceeded what I might have expected. I'll give them nine out of ten.

Hi Sean,

I am curious what kind of problems you had. I've purchased three RainSongs and had a buzzing barn door in one I fixed and a g-string nut slot that needed a little work which I also did. I lowered the action on all three. All in all not much different than I would expect with a Martin, at least to my standards.

Jon, I'll PM you. It's was a pretty unusual set of circumstances and they were really good about it all, and I'd just rather fall to the more discretionary side of it all.
