Not very traditional indeed -- but aesthetically I like it very much.

Nick - Welcome to the AGF. I remember that thread and that guitar. Very untraditional but it looks fantastic. Looking forward to seeing more of your work here.

Default Thank you

Thank you for this warm welcome.

Yes, I do like being not traditional best to improve and understand different skills and theories.

I'm looking forward to make more prototypes instruments and I welcome anybody who wants to try or discus about my "untraditional" instruments, in my workshop in Newark-on-Trent UK.

Please contact me if you have any ideas that's going away from the "traditional" aspect of the guitar.

Thank you again.

you can edit but not delete a post on this forum. don't worry, we've all seen (and posted) lots of posts that could be cleaned up one way or another.

you were very close with the picture. i don't use phototstream but i had the same problem when i tried to use the link it provided. so i picked a size and copied the "Download the Medium 800 size of this photo" link and that seemed to work. you can go back and try and edit your post to get things working if you want to experiment. very fine looking guitar.

Here's one of my classical design ! For sale !

My idea behind this guitar was to relook and improve the sound, the shape, the main structure of the classical, without being too radical but I can't help it ... So the way I see it . I compress the length of the body that makes the width much wider and has a smaller looking body but compensated in the lower bout and the bridge has much more space from this "compensated" body width and lengthwise as well from removing the soundhole.

The soundhole Has been divided in two equal halves so the sound will provide full potential to the musician as well as the public. The finish on the rosette, Bindings and Head veneers is French polish and all the rest of the guitar is oil finish

Soundboard : Douglas Fir ,warm sound I will define it as cedar (well for this guitar), with traditional fan bracing with a strong bridge patch across the lower bout for a dynamic punch. (Can be seen from the soundhole on the side )

Indian Rosewood used for the Head veneers and Back and Sides, Finish French Polish opened grain.

Mahogany (reclaimed wood) south america used for the Neck and bindings (same wood).

If you have any questions please ask me.

Thank you very much.

Nick,

I love the split sound hole-sound port on the classical. It looks different and very cool! I'd be a little afraid of hitting that center piece of wood, though, and cracking it, but I am sure it is stronger than it looks.

When you post a picture, can you put in a little detail about the guitars? I love the wood on the first one you posted and am curious as to the details.

Thanks, and nice to have you on board! It's great to see such innovation. When you get a chance, it would also be wonderful to hear some sound clips.

All the best,
Mike

i noticed that but it looks like you got the images sorted out.

i like the look of that guitar as well. particularly from the angle that makes the dual soundholes form a circle. i agree with mike that adding some textual information about the guitar and/or soundclips would be appreciated.
