Default which one to order!

can any of you offer your opinions on the CO-WS1000 vs the WS1000? I am gonna order a rainsong with the short scale, 12 fret neck. Originally was gonna get a Shorty, now looking at the 12 fret short scale neck on the other bodies. I may even still get a shorty. CO-OM is in the running as well, not sure what I lose with the slim body soundwise. I don't have any dealers nearby, certain not any with any stock to play and compare, so gonna go with buying unheard.

I play mostly fingerstyle, about 75%, strumming the rest. I like the idea of a small comfortable couch guitar that can go anywhere, and still hold its own when playing with others, etc. Not worried about electronics, don't need them, and can always add a p/u later.
Thank in advance!

I was only able to directly compare a WS with a Shorty once, and to be honest I didn't spend much time with the WS at that time. However, I do remember the Shorty was a much more comfortable guitar for me. I keep hearing the term "intimate" used to describe the shorty - I have to agree.

I'm probably the opposite, about 70% strumming and 30% fingerstyle. When I was comparing RainSongs last year, it came down to an H-WS1100 vs. an H-OM1100. The deeper body on the WS definitely gave a stronger low end and despite how comfy the OM size is, I couldn't resist that extra bass. It's been over a year and I couldn't be happier (unless I could of bought both).

If you are going to order the guitar I would definitely put a CO top on it. Dont own but played them and it is a little nicer, but not huge difference. I have played the WS and own a OM1000. Play with a flatpick but hybrid pick with middle and ring. These are just nice guitars, I am not motivated at all to go WS.
