Default Live and direct from Belushis lounge.

big cold, and the stage was just ..... a plain stage.

Not any more, the place had a big makeover and given a 'lounge' feel, both for the patrons with uber funky lounges everywhere and also the stage took on a completely new personality. Sofa, lamps, pics, it made such a difference. Each of us felt so relaxed on stage that it felt like were playing in somebodys own house.

To start the 2nd set we had the idea to really kick back and just play a couple tunes on the sofa, it went down well and good fun was had by all.

Here's one from last nite, played on the newly Elixir strung SWD, must say they come across well through a PA.

cheers.

Wow Mark. That may be my favorite that I've seen with the 3 of you. A better recording than much of your other live work. Guitars sound great. Ray nailed it and your lead player did a cool job of letting it rip but not overpowering this song. Of course the Who being my second favorite band of all time helps. Well done!!

Thanks a lot Roy. We had a long chat with the sounguy about the sound we wanted to capture, in particular to put the guitars in the front as in the past the vocals dominated and we felt the guitars were a bit passive in the mix.

Full credit to him as I believe he nailed it that night. The lounge feel (which took us by surprise as we didnt they did this) was a great move as it definitely put us in a relaxed mood and there was a great connection with the audience.

Thanks for watching Roy and commenting as always !

EXACTLY, my thoughts were that the guitars sounded GREAT! Can't get the other video to play. You Tube gets stuck halfway thru. I'll try later.

Good stuff, Mark, as always. Your trio has a nice sound and you all play well off of each other. I like the newer look of the venue, nice and intimate.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Kyle, yeah we all felt the chemistry was really good that night, and the lounge feel definitely helped in creating a great chilled mood.
